Enriching the regional network of UNESCO Chairs – alongside the Plantae Medicinales Mediterraneae Chair at the University of Salerno, led by Chair Holder Prof. Rita Patrizia Aquino, and seven other UNESCO Chairs in Campania, the new UNESCO Chair “Education, Gender Equality and Climate Action” has been proudly established at L’Orientale University of Naples.
The eighth UNESCO Chair in Campania will focus on examining the interconnections between climate change, gender equality, and the resilience of local communities. The inaugural ceremony, hosted at Palazzo Corigliano, was attended by academics, institutional representatives, and partners from various countries.
Led by Professors Ersilia Francesca and Valeria Saggiomo, the Chair will foster research activities, training programs, and opportunities for intercultural dialogue, further consolidating the Campania network of UNESCO Chairs.
