The UNESCO Chair “Plants for Health in the Mediterranean Traditions” at the University of Salerno is organizing the seminar “Sustainability of Cosmetic Products: Between Naturalness, Innovation and Environmental Protection”, focused on the main challenges of sustainable cosmetics. Through contributions from industry experts and academic research carried out within the UNESCO Chair laboratories, the seminar will address topics such as naturalness in cosmetics, the development of effective and safe products with reduced environmental impact, and the valorization of agro-food waste as innovative cosmetic ingredients within a circular economy perspective.
The event is included in the official programme of the 2026 Sustainable Development Festival promoted by ASviS – Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development and is held under the patronage of the RUS – Italian University Network for Sustainable Development.
The seminar will take place on May 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Department of Pharmacy, University of Salerno.
