Aquino, will participate in the side event A new international master on Mediterranean diet for ecological transition in the framework of the PAM academic platform. The event is a special moment of the Third World Conference on the Revitalization of the Mediterranean diet organized by PAM (Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean), with the network of the Italian UNESCO Chairs “Dialoghi delle Cattedre UNESCO” and the Campania Region. |
To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the International Center for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), the Third World Conference on the Revitalization of the Mediterranean Diet, entitled “Change of Route Towards More Sustainable and Resilient Food Systems in Mediterranean Countries: the Mediterranean Diet as a Strategic Resource to Accelerate the Agenda2030 in the Region” will be organized on 28-30 September 2022, at the Cosimo Lacirignola Campus, CIHE- AM-Bari Institute, in Valenzano, Bari. The aim of the conference is to recognize the Mediterranean Diet as a sustainable food model, suitable for contemporary Mediterranean lifestyles, identifying strategies, programs, projects and actions to improve the sustainability of food systems, stop malnutrition and the degradation of ecosystems, counteract change climate and stop the collapse of biodiversity in the Region, change people’s livelihoods for the better. The initiative aims to stimulate the change of course toward more resilient food systems using the Mediterranean Diet as a driving force for sustainable consumption and production, through the holistic vision of One-Health, a conceptual model of integration between human biology, animal, environment and lifestyle.
