The ’Hellenic Society of Ethnopharmacology is organising on 1-3 March 2024 a high-level Regional Meeting “From the Vikos traditional healers (Vikoyiatroi) to modern phytotherapy”.

An important contribution comes from Salerno UNESCO Chair: Alain Touwaide shall present a main lecture on “Vikiatria and medical tradition – Panhellenism and regionalism” in the session Folk herbal medicine in Zagori; Giovanni Canora shall speak about  “Meristemotherapy: Ethnobotany, Schola Salerni Tetrath Medicine and applied scientific research”  in the session  Ethnopharmacological approach to drug discovery- The Programme of the Congress is very interesting comprising lectures on Balcanic and Mediterranean flora and ethnopharmacology, and notably a workshop and some round tables.
