UNESCO Chair Salerno is offering its patronage and contribute for FoPD Italy 2024 at the University of Salerno Italy, – Department of Pharmacy – May 15th 2024.
Navigating through open-air lab experiments, researchers of the UNESCO Chair Salerno will show healthy residual biomasses from Hazel and Hazelnut. Skin and kernel of the fruits used for a long time in the Mediterranean Food and Medical Traditions. Technologies for their re-covery & re-use will be shown as well as effect on well being.
FoPD 2024 is the seventh international “Fascination of Plants Day” that will take place in May 2024 with a focus on May, 15, 2024.
Why FoPD
To get as many people as possible around the world fascinated by plants and excited by ever-new opportunity of innovation provided by plant science and the wonderful world of the plants. Focus is on sustainable agriculture, horticulture, forestry and the production of plant-based non-food products (timber and paper, chemicals, botanicals, drugs, nutraceutics, cosmetics, green energy).
WHY JOIN
To take part to a variety of interactive plant related events across the globe. The local events are organized by plant science institutions, research centers, universities, schools, botanical gardens and museums, farmers and industries.
WHERE
The range of events take place in public spaces, theaters, cafes, central city squares and parks and are designed to make everyone fascinated by plants. In Salerno the event will take place in the Campus of Fisciano – Universiity of Salerno – Italy
