April 10th 2024 – UNESCO Chair Salerno & Bachelor in “Tecniche Erboristiche”  of the University of Salerno at Ethnobotanical Conservatory in Castelluccio Superiore (Pz) – Italy.

Salerno UNESCO Chair in collaboration with  the bachelor programme “Tecniche Erboristiche” UNISA organize a fascinating journey to discover health plants among ancient customs and traditions which, still today, have remained intact at the Ethnobotanical Conservatory in Castelluccio Superiore (Potenza), along with its application today.

The Ethnobotanical Conservatory, partner of Salerno UNESCO Chair, is a research and documentation centre for the study of applied Botany and Ethnobotany which houses the herbarium of Lucanian and Mediterranean flora, xylotheque, fruit-seeds and gemmates, a thematic library and the Basilian Hortus as a garden of the Semplici and of Lucanian medicinal and alimurgical varieties.

A guided tour of two companies, EVRA and SVEBA, will follow to experience the  manufactiring of vegetable extracts and formulations of dietary supplements containing botanicals,  produced according to international standards.

Young people will be guided by researchers of “Plants for Health in the Mediterranean Traditions”, professors of the Department of Pharmacy and experts of Fondazione Onlus Vos.
